Tarot - Arcanum No. 5 |
Written by Editor VOPUS | |
The No. 5 is grandiose, sublime; it is the number of the rigour and of the Law; it is the number of Mars and of war. Arcanum No. 5 of the Tarot indicates: the Teaching, the Karma. It symbolizes the 5th Cycle, the 5th Race, the 5th Sun, the 5 Tattvas, the 5 Fingers, the 5 Gospels, the 5 Senses, the 5 Cells of the brain and ovaries, the 5 Aspects of the Divine Mother. Arcanum No. 5 of the Tarot is Initiation, Demonstration, Teaching, Karmic Law, Philosophy, Science, Art. We live in the Age of Samael, the 5th of the 7; the return towards the Great Light has been initiated. Life has begun to flow from the outer towards the inner; we are faced with the dilemma of To Be or Not To Be; we need to define ourselves as Angels or Demons, Eagles or Reptiles and to confront our own destiny. The Hierarch of the Arcanum No. 5, the Jackal of the Jackals is the Lord of the Archons of destiny, he is Anubis, the Jackal-headed God. The Temple of Anubis is the Temple of the Lords of Karma. Anubis carries the books of Karma in the Underworld. Each human being has his own book of negotiations. In this Tribunal only the terror of Love and Justice rules. It is necessary for the people to understand what the Sanskrit word "Karma" means. My friends, there a Law which is called Karma, and it is relevant to assert that such a word means in itself: Law of Action and Consequence. Obviously “there is no cause without an effect as there is no effect without a cause”. The Law of the Scale, the terrible Law of Karma, governs all that is created. Every cause converts itself into an effect, and every effect converts itself into a cause. You must understand what the Law of Compensation is. Everything that is done must be paid for, because there is no cause without an effect and no effect without a cause. Karma is the Law of Compensation, not of vengeance. There are some people who confuse this Cosmic Law with determinism, and even with fatalism, believing that everything that happens to the human being in life is inexorably determined beforehand. It is true that the actions of the human being are determined by Inheritance, Education and Environment. However, it is also true that the human being has free will and can change his actions: refine his character, form superior habits, overcome weaknesses, strengthen virtues etc. “Karma is a medicine that is applied to us for our own good”; unfortunately, instead of bowing reverently before the Eternal Living God, people protest, blaspheme, justify themselves, they foolishly excuse themselves and wash their hands like Pilate. Karma is not modified with such protests; on the contrary, it becomes harder and more severe. In the "Book of the Dead", Chapter LIX, the triumphant NU says: "I am the Jackal of the Jackals, and I draw air from the presence of the God of Light, and I convey it to the bounds of the Firmament and to the bounds of the Earth, and to the frontiers of the outer most limits of the flight of the Neveh bird. Thus air is given to these Young Divine Beings." The Arcanum No. 5 is the Hierophant, the Law, the Rigour; it is the Flaming Pentagram, the Flaming Star, the sign of Divine Omnipotence; this is the ineffable symbol of the Verb made flesh, the terrible Star of the Magi. The Pentagram represents the Man; the Microcosmic Human Being who with open arms and open legs is the Star of Five Points. Arcanum No. 5 is Indication, Demonstration, Teaching, Karmic Law, Philosophy, Science, Art. It is the Law, Rigour.
