Oscar Uzcategui- Biography

Óscar Uzcategui
(V.M. Kwen Khan)

Contemporary writer and Gnostic Anthropologist

(Born in Venezuela in 1950)

Mr. Oscar Uzcategui Q. (V.M. Kwen Khan) was born on August 28, 1950, in a village located in the Andes' mountain range of Venezuela. He felt very strong spiritual longings inside him from a very early age that lead him to an incessant quest for the moral values that are inherent to the Beings of the Gnostics. He passed his puberty in those Venezuelan lands, and during this period he could inquire into the Rosicrucian, Theosophy, Freemasonry and Spiritist philosophies, coming to the conclusion that in such schools one could not capture the practical and precise elements necessary for the human psychic development.

In the beginning of his adolescence, when he was fifteen, he happened upon a Gnostic brochure titled "Masterful Lesson". In that brochure, V.M. Samael explained briefly what Gnosis was about, what were its goals, its methods, etc. This brochure moved him to seek and delve deeply into the Gnostic knowledge. During this time, thanks to the secret hand of the fate, he met a sergeant who instructed him and some of his friends in Gnosis.

Once enrolled in Gnosis, he began to grow wiser with all of the treatises written by V.M. Samael Aun Weor.

When he was sixteen years old, he created Gnostic centres in his town (Maracaibo-Zulia) and in other surrounding areas and worked as a Gnostic instructor.

Afterwards, he started written correspondence with V.M. Samael Aun Weor that lasted nine years. During those nine years, he had many consultations and dialogues with the founder president of contemporary Gnosticism (V.M. Samael Aun Weor), all of which helped him to have a very ample and profound understanding of Gnostic doctrine.

At the age of twenty four, he abandoned Venezuela, at the invitation of V.M. Samael Aun Weor, to work under his instructions in the Mexican territory. He carried out several missions of Gnostic diffusion in the east, west and centre of the Aztec country under the instructions of V.M. Samael AUn Weor.

It must be pointed out that Mr. Oscar Uzcategui Q. (V.M. Kwen Khan) had the opportunity of being in close proximity to the precursor of contemporary Gnosis during a period of three years where he had the privilege of living in V.M. Samael' s home.

In these three years he could verify in a direct way the depth and scope of the Gnostic wisdom that flowed from V.M. Samael Aun Weor.

This exposure allowed him to get a clear and objective vision of the line of metaphysical and doctrinal work upheld by V.M. Samael Aun Weor. Thanks to this experience, AGEAC (Gnostic Association for Anthropological, Cultural and Scientific Studies, the institution founded by Óscar Uzcategui Q. (V.M. Kwen Khan) in 1989) can presently carry out the spreading of Gnosis worldwide, without altering the Gnostic body of doctrine or the line of work established by Dr. Samael Aun Weor.

In the wake of the disembodiment of V.M. Samael Aun Weor (that occurred on 24th December 1977) , Mr. Óscar Uzcategui Q. (V.M. Kwen Khan), true to the promise he had made to the president founder of the contemporary gnosis on his deathbed, continued with the labor of the diffusion of the brilliant knowledge that Gnosis is for all.

From 1980 to 1983 he accomplished a great undertaking by spreading the Samaelian Gnosis in several countries such as France, Belgium, Italy and Greece. In 1984, he settled down in Spain and remains there till date. He kept on creating centres for the training of the Gnostic instructors from 1985 till 1998.

During this period he also visited Africa, where he had already established contacts through correspondence courses that he managed from Grenoble (France), through which the first group of students was formed that still subsist in the countries of Gabon, Cameroon, Togo, Benin, etc.

In 1989 he founded AGEAC (Asociacion Gnostica de Estudios Antropologicos, Culturales y Cientificos) with the purpose of spreading Gnosis for the good of the entire humanity.

It is also good to mention that he has taken part in several International Gnostic Congresses such as the following:

  • International Gnostic Congress of Anthropology held in Guadalajara (Jalisco, Mexico) on October, 1976.
  • International Gnostic Congress held in 1978 in Caracas (Venezuela).
  • International Gnostic Congress held in Montreal (Quebec, Canada) in 1986.
  • International Gnostic Congress held in Vienna (Austria) in 1990.
  • International Gnostic Congress held in New York city in 1992.
  • International Gnostic Congress held in Quebec city, (province of Quebec, Canada) in the year 2000.
  • International Gnostic Congress held in Brasov (Romania) in the year 2004.
  • International Gnostic Congress held in Agra (India) in the year 2008.

At present Mr. Oscar Uzcategui continues to offer courses at various locations throughout the world including Romania, France, Spain and Brazil, in order to train more Gnostic instructors for spreading Samaelian Gnostic studies.

Mr. Oscar Uzcategui (V.M. Kwen Khan) has published many books, and he is also the author of many prologues to the works by V.M. Samael Aun Weor.

We conclude this biography by emphasizing that the activities of Mr. Óscar Uzcategui (V.M. Kwen Khan) have but one secret resort, of wanting to retribute to V.M. Samael Aun Weor, his preceptor, for his enormous contribution that he realized for the good of the humanity on the altar of his supreme sacrifice.
