The Arcanum No. 3 is "The Empress", the Divine Light, the Light in itself; it is the „Divine Mother”. It corresponds to that part of Genesis that says: "And God Said: Let there Be Light and there was Light", starting from the first day of creation.
It is also the number of the Third Logos that dominates all forms of creation, it is the rhythm of the Creator. The Celestial Mother, in the material realm, signifies Material Production, and in the spiritual realm, signifies Spiritual Production.
If this Arcanum is analyzed more profoundly a very interesting aspect is discovered. The No. 1 is the Father who is in Secret, or the Monad; from him the Divine Mother Kundalini is born, the Dyad; then she unfolds into the No. 3 which is the Father, Mother and Son, this is the Divine and Immortal Spirit of every living being; the 3, Osiris the Father, Isis the Mother and Horus the Son, constitute what the Sacred Book of the Mayans, the Popol Vuh, called the "Heart of Heaven"..
The Ternary, the No. 3, is very important. It is the Word, Plenitude, Fecundity, Nature, the Generation of the 3 Worlds.
The Third Arcanum of the Kabbalah is represented by a Woman dressed with the Sun, with the Moon under her feet, and her head crowned with 12 Stars. The symbol of the Queen of Heaven is the Empress of the Tarot. She is a mysterious, crowned woman seated with the Scepter of Command in her hand. The globe of the World is on the top of the Scepter. She is Urania-Venus of the Greeks, the Christified Soul, the Celestial Mother.
The Divine Mother of the Arcanum No. 3 is the Particular Mother of each one of us, she is the Mother of our Being who must trample the Moon, the Lunar Ego, in order for the 12 Stars, the 12 Faculties, to shine resplendently over her head
In order to create, we need the 3 Primary Forces that come from above, from the Father and that exist in all of creation:
- POSITIVE FORCE
- NEGATIVE FORCE
- NEUTRAL FORCE
The Kabbalists state that the Soul has in reality 3 aspects:
- NEPHESH – THE ANIMAL SOUL
- RUACH – THE THINKING SOUL
- NESHAMAH – THE SPIRITUAL SOUL
The Man is the First Arcanum of the Tarot, the Positive Force; the Woman is the Second Arcanum, the Negative Force and the Christified Soul is the result of the sexual union of both.
The Arcanum A.Z.F. is the secret that transforms the Moon into a Sun and represents the 3 aspects: Positive, Negative and Neutral. It is stated that the Third Arcanum is the modeler, it is clear that within Creation, within Nature everything is modeled by means of the Verb.
Arcanum No. 3 signifies Success, it is Material as well as Spiritual production.
- Kabbalistic Sephiroth: „BINAH”
- Hebrew Letter: „GIMEL”
- Transcendental Axiom: „Your loom is weaving, cloth for you to use and cloth that you shall not use.”
- Forecasting Element: "Multiplication of material goods, prosperity in business, abundance, wealth, success. Obstacles to overcome and satisfaction to the extent that they are overcome."
SYNTHESIS:
- Our disciples must learn how to travel in the Astral Body in order to visit all of the White Lodges in the world, where they can personally converse with Christ and with all of the Masters of the White Lodge.
- The atoms of Laziness are a serious obstacle for the progress towards the Superior Worlds.
- The Great Law is the return of life towards the Superior Worlds.
- Pray and meditate intensely. The Divine Mother teaches her children. Prayer must be performed by combining Meditation with Sleep. Then, as in a dream vision, Illumination arises. The Divine Mother comes to the devotee in order to instruct him in the Great Mysteries.
